Delhi, New Delhi: Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) remained in the "Severe" category on Friday due to persistently thick haze and fog, which endangered the health of locals and made driving difficult.
The central pollution authority responded by enforcing Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), which, as of Friday at 8 a.m., prohibits construction activities and restricts the use of BS-III  gasoline and BS-IV diesel cars in Delhi and the National Capital Region.
