Nationality: Unmarried male candidates who are:

Citizens of India

Subjects of Nepal

Persons of Indian origin who have migrated from specified countries to permanently settle in India, provided they have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years old as of 1 January 2026. This means they should be born between 2 July 2006 and 1 July 2009 (inclusive dates).

Educational Qualification:

Passed 12th or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from recognized education boards.

Must have appeared in the JEE (Main) Examination 2025.

Indian Army TES 54 Selection Process

Shortlisting: Based on the cutoff marks in PCM and JEE (Main) 2025 scores.

SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a five-day Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at designated centers in Allahabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Kapurthala between August and September 2025.

Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination.

Final Merit List: Prepared based on SSB performance and medical fitness.
Indian Army TES 54 Training & Commission

Training Duration: 4 years (3 years at Cadet Training Wing followed by 1 year at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun)

Award: Engineering Degree upon successful completion

Commission: Granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lieutenant

Branches: Primarily commissioned into the Corps of Engineers, the Corps of Signals, and the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers.
Indian Army TES 54 salary structure

During Training: ₹56,100 per month (as admissible to NDA cadets after three years of training)

Post Commissioning: Starting salary in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix, with a CTC of approximately ₹17–18 lakhs per annum, excluding additional benefits like free medical cover and travel allowances.
